[Album 5] Exploring Jamshedpur (Sitarampur Dam) Mi 5 HDR

Sitarampur reservoir - on the banks of the Kharkai river in Gamharia, Jamshedpur, supplies water to the filtration plant in Adityapur. Located close to Adityapur industrial area, the Sitarampur Dam sprawls over 19.2sqkm. While rainwater is the main source of the reservoir, water from an intake well of Kharkai river is also pumped into the dam during summer. Every day, five million gallon of water is pumped to an adjoining filtration plant for supply of drinking water to Adityapur.
